About Sayimsorry

I am a freelance art director and interactive designer based in Berlin. My work is focused on developing visual concepts and strategies for digital media since 1998. I strive to create work that is both aesthetically beautiful, innovative and clear. I have enjoyed working for big international brands as well as small independent projects.

I was born in Aachen/Germany together with my twin sister in 1975 and from an early age it was clear that i would end up in some creative business. Soon after graduating from highschool i started studying communications design in Hamburg and back then i was one of the first students at my school during the middle of the 90s that caught interest in the field of new media, in other words: the internet. In 1996 i programmed my first homepage in HTML1 - stripped to the bone! After a while i quit the nerdy programming to focus on strategic and creative expertise with specialising in user interface and user experience.

After my diploma in 2000 i soon started working for the new media branch of The Big Blue: the IBM e-business innovation center. Two years of very professional experience working for huge clients such as Deutsche Bahn and Mercedes Benz. In 2003 i needed something more "small yet ooh-la-la" and so i joined the Fork Unstable Media universe in Hamburg as a senior art director. In 2004 i moved to the capital of Germany, Berlin, continuing my work for Fork Unstable Media in their much smaller Berlin offices. After a while in 2006 i finally decided to stand on my own two feet and started my life as a freelance designer.

When i am not designing i am delving into books, music, movies, traveling, building my own small collection of contemporary photography, my little blog and trying not to spend so much time in front of my computer.
